This area of big trees is not a true old-growth forest but there are towering hardwood species and it is one of the finest examples of a Piedmont forest. Join us to practice your winter tree ID and to take in the wonderful views.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 17. 
Registration for the first week, through Jan. 7, for members only.

MNPS events are free and open to the public; however we do limit participants for most events. If you find you will not be able to attend, please cancel your reservation to allow someone else to register.

Notes: Natural surface walk over gently rolling hills.

Bring: Binoculars, water, lunch, field guides, sturdy shoes and perhaps a walking stick.

Cancellation Policy: Canceled in the case of hard rain or heavy snow.
