Walk through lovely woods with a certified arborist. Looking to learn more about native trees in one of the prettiest spots along the Patuxent River? WSSC’s arborist, Doug Sievers, will lead a tour through the fall-hued woods of Pig Tail Recreation Area. Noted for its wildflowers, Pig Tail is one of the loveliest spots along the Patuxent River to learn about Maryland native trees. Doug’s enthusiasm and knowledge of trees will be a great highlight to this free tour.

Location: Pig Tail Recreation Area, 5600 Green Bridge Road, Dayton

Note: The walk will be flat most of the way, but wear footwear that is waterproof.
