Come celebrate MNPS' Year of the Conifer by exploring the home of a deciduous conifer, the Bald Cypress (Taxodium distichum). Battle Creek Cypress Swamp, preserved by the Nature Conservancy in the 1950s is one of the northern most cypress swamp in the country.

We'll also see many other wetland plants (lizard's-tail, sweet pepperbush) and a wide diversity of ferns.

Notes: An easy walk along a boardwalk and natural surface trails.

Bring: a lunch to enjoy after the hike.
