See the amazing display of early spring wildflowers as we walk along the Potomac River at Turkey Run. We will see Virginia Bluebells, Squirrel Corn, Trout Lily, Dutchman's Breeches, Sessile Trillium, Ramps, Cutleaf Toothwort, and much more. We will walk 3 miles round-trip: 1.5 miles to Dead Run where we'll take a lunch break and enjoy the waterfalls before returning back the way we came.

Leader:  Matt Cohen

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Closes Friday April 18.  Limited to 30.

Notes:  We will be going down and back up a steep hillside. There also will be several stream crossings where you'll need to hop across rocks. Depending on the weather, the trail along the River can be muddy. There are bathroom facilities at Area C (parking lot).

Bring: Water, snacks, lunch, field guides, binoculars, hand lens, dress for the weather, wear sturdy walking shoes and clothes you don't mind getting muddy.

Cancellation Policy:  The walk will be canceled if there's rain. I will notify registered participants by 7:30am the morning of the walk if it will be canceled.

Contact: (for additional information; not to register) Matt Cohen, matt@mattshabitats.com

Directions: Included in registration confirmation.
