Sunday November 17, 2019 - 10 AM to 1 PM
Sponsoring Organization: Maryland Native Plant Society
We'll focus on tree and shrub identification as we stroll around the Rock Creek Park Nature Center area, starting in the parking lot and then rambling off on some of the trails. The witch hazels should be in bloom and we'll also keep an eye out for mushrooms, birds, and other natural curiosities.
Leader: Matt Cohen
NOT LIMITED TO MNPS MEMBERS.
Notes: Walking mostly on flat paved surfaces and trails.
Bring: You may want to bring along water, snacks, field guides, magnifying glass, and binoculars. Bring a lunch if you'd like to hang out afterwards to eat at the picnic tables.
Cancellation Policy: We will go in drizzle or light rain, but the trip will be canceled in the event of heavy rain or storms. If in doubt about the weather, contact Matt, firstname.lastname@example.org.
