2016 Conference: Maryland's Forgotten Bogs and Pine Barrens

Registration includes morning speakers, Saturday afternoon field trips and Sunday field trips, as well as coffee breaks and lunch. The Evening Social is *not* included in the registration fee.

Members: $65 (after July 31, $75)
Nonmembers: $75 (after July 31, $85)

Saturday Evening Social (includes dinner) $30 

If you need to cancel email Karyn Molines at info@mdflora.org, 50% refunds will be issue if cancelations are received by September 8. No refunds for cancelations after September 8.

Parking

On weekends free parking is about 2 blocks from the Student Union in Lot 1b or Lot Z. 

Free Parking: Continue past the Stamp Union and turn right onto Alumni Drive and park in Lot 1b or Lot Z. Walk back along Campus Drive to the Stamp Union.
Handicap parking: turn right on Union Lane and turn left into the parking garage. 
There is metered parking (not free) on Campus Drive and in the Union Lane garage. See http://www.transportation.umd.edu/paystation.html for the fees for parking

Directions:

From the Washing Beltway, Take Exit 25 for Route 1 Baltimore Avenue South
Turn right onto Campus Drive
Continue through the Campus. You'll Pass the Adele H. Stamp Union on the corner of Campus Drive and Union Lane.
Continue past the Stamp Union to parking lots 1b or Z.

This is also easy to access from University Blvd (Route 193).

    Preliminary Field Trip locations include:

    • Snavely’s Ford Trail, Antietam National Battlefield
    • Yankauer Preserve
    • Appalachian Trail
    • Thompson Wildlife Management Area
    • Short Hill-Virginia portion of Harpers Ferry National Historical Park
    • Shanondale Wildlife Management Area
    Accomodations: The NCTC has very nice single and double (limited availability) rooms. If you stay on campus, all meals from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch will be provided. Nightly lodging and meals will be approximately $150/night.

    Off campus housing is available in nearby hotels (approx. $100/night). Those staying off campus must either provide their own meals or purchase meals a la carte. Some indoor venues within the NCTC do not allow outside food.
