We will investigate seeps on the flanks of South Mountain in Cumberland Co, PA. Some of these seeps reportedly have Sweetbay Magnolia (Magnolia virginiana). One purpose will be to compare these seeps to those of the fall line region in Maryland. I hope Sweetbay will be in bloom. WARNING: As of the preparation of this announcement, I have not visited these locations, so some stumbling around may transpire on June 5th. This trip is co-sponsored by Williams, Powell, Clark and Stoney Valleys Botanical Society (WPCSV Bot. Soc).
