Fort Slocum

Civil War Fort Sites in Washington DC- over 100 walks led in this longstanding series.

We will return to Fort Slocum to visit an upland terrace-gravel forest in NW DC.

Leader: Mary Pat Rowan and Lou Aronica

Notes: Easy to moderate walk.

Bring: Water and lunch.

Directions: Fort Slocum is bordered by Madison, Third, and Oglethorpe Streets, NW, and Kansas Avenue NW. Park on Kansas near the intersection with Nicholson Street, NW.

Cancellation Policy: Cancelled if pouring rain. Call Mary Pat before 9 am on Sunday if you have concerns about whether the trip is cancelled due to weather.
