Speaker: Dwight Johnson, Naturalist, Baltimore, MD
Do a lot of the ferns look alike to you? Ferns can seem confusing but the differences are actually easy to recognize. Dwight Johnson will review the basic structure of ferns, emphasizing the parts used in field identification. You'll learn the identifying characteristics of the ferns of Maryland, and where to find them. You'll also have a chance to practice on plant material with a key that Dwight has developed.
