We will hike in the beautiful Seneca Creek State Park in western Montgomery County. An informal outing where everyone participates in the botanizing. The leader knows the trails and will make sure you don't get lost!
Leader: Ken Bawer
Notes: Moderate hike with moderately steep slopes.
I am a rank amateur, so I won't discuss the habitat, provide a species list, or provide botanical expertise. However, you won't get lost and we will have fun pooling our plant knowledge. Birders welcome.
Bring: Water snacks, books, binoculars.
Directions: From I-270, take Rt. 28 west for about 10 miles (very approximate). Just before the bridge over Seneca Creek, turn right into the large parking lot (the entrance is not well marked). If you miss it and go over the bridge, you have gone too far.
