MNPS Field Trip: Roosevelt Island- 131st in the Civil War Fort series

We will venture away from the Forts again this month and take a trip to Roosevelt Island in the Potomac River. Bring your plant books, good walking shoes and a sense of adventure because this is a new woodland to explore and we don’t know what we will find.

Notes: Easy to moderate walk.

Cancellation Policy: Call Mary Pat before 9 am the day of the walk if rain threatens or you have any questions about possible cancellation.

Directions: Because we will not be able to park in the Roosevelt Island parking lot (it gets filled by 9 am) we will meet at the Rosslyn Metro station and walk to the Island from there. We will meet at the top of the Metro escalator outside of the station at 10 am.
