MNPS Field Trip: Blockhouse Point/ Muddy Branch Stream Valley- CANCELED

CANCELED DUE TO LOW TEMPS & WINDCHILL

We will hike primarily in the in beautiful Muddy Branch Stream Valley Park in western Montgomery County.

I consider myself an amateur, so I won't discuss forest types and underlying geology or provide professional-level botanical expertise. However, you won't get lost and we will have fun pooling our plant knowledge. Birders welcome. Consider this: no mosquitoes, no ticks, no poison ivy leaves to brush up against. This is a good time to look at bark, buds, branching structure, fallen nuts, and the odd green things – ferns, orchids, etc. Birders welcome.

Notes: Moderate hike with moderately steep slopes.

Cancellation Policy: I have arranged for sun, but light rain will still be a go. Will cancel if snow or heavy rain predicted.
