A field trip organized as part of the annual fall conference. Bring your own kayak or canoe and paddle through the tidal wetlands. Plant and animal identification, watershed dynamics, wetland ecology, and conservation challenges are topics for discussion during the trip. We’ll launch from the boat landing in Martinak Park, Benton and will go up Watts Creek from approximately its junction with the mainstem Choptank. Trip can be a couple of miles up and a couple back. Registration required; limited to 20 boats.
Free. Participants must provide their own canoe or kayak, life vest and paddles. Bring water and a lunch.
Registration required. Register either online or during the Fall Conference. On-line registration will close on Thursday, Sept. 23.
