Field trip organized as part of the annual fall conference Field trip is open to both conference registrants and the general public.

Visit Adkins Arboretum, a 400-acre native plant preserve and educational center in Caroline County, Maryland. Highlights include the 1-acre wetland restoration project, the ongoing 15-acre warm season grass meadow restoration, the native plant cutting garden in bloom for the fall and a walk through the woodland in its early fall colors.

Registration required. Registrations are accepted on-line (through Sept 23) or at the fall conference.

Directions will be sent to those who register.

Bring water and lunch.

Adkins Arboretum Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for students 6-18, and free for children 5 and under. Admission is free for Adkins Arboretum members. For more information on the arboretum: http://www.adkinsarboretum.org/
