MNPS Field Trip: Wild Washington- Fort Connector between Fort Dupont and Fort Stanton (Sunday)

141st walk in the Wild Washington- Forts series

We will visit the Fort Circle Connector between Ft. Dupont and Ft. Stanton to investigate the geology and plants of the Terrace Gravel Forest and a storm water control project on parkland which we have anticipated but not yet seen.

Leaders: Mary Pat Rowan and David Culp



Notes: Easy to moderate walk.

Bring: Water and lunch or a snack.  Wear appropriate shoes and clothing.

Directions: Get on Pennsylvania Avenue SE and travel south east from Minnesota Avenue (east of the Anacostia River). When you get to Branch Avenue (a lighted intersection) turn right on Branch and take the first right on Park Drive. We will meet where 32nd Place meets Park Drive.
