Explore Montgomery County’s largest and most botanically diverse park with an eye to non-native, invasive plants as well as the natives threatened by them. We will traverse a range of habitats, including floodplain, streamside, upland forest, and meadow. Most every invasive of concern in the county should be seen.

Dick is a certified Montgomery Parks Weed Warrior Supervisor and Trail Ranger focused on Little Bennett Park.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 20.

Notes: A moderate loop walk of less than 2.5 miles with one ascent of and descent from Bennett Ridge. There are no restrooms on site. Dress for the weather and wear hiking shoes.

Bring:  Water, snacks, your favorite field guide (native and non-native). Optional: binoculars, hand lens, camera, small notebook or free iNaturalist smartphone app to document species. 

Cancellation Policy: Light drizzle or light rain is fine but canceled if heavy rain or thunderstorms.
