Spring is a time of change. This is the first of two walks along the same trail three weeks apart. We will make plant lists for both walks and compare them to assess the changes. This trail along the Gunpowder River has a good assortment of ferns and wildflowers including Nodding Trillium, Miterwort, and Greek Valerian. There is no requirement to attend both walks and both plant lists will be posted to the MNPS website.
Bring all the usual stuff: lunch and water, plus field guides, binoculars and magnifying glasses if you have them.
You can buy lunch at Graul’s Supermarket located in the shopping center on Mt. Carmel Road just east of the exit from Interstate 83.
Registration through April 1 is for members only.
Directions: included in registration confirmation.
