MNPS Field Trip: Family Green Hour - Weekly Walks (Saturday)

Sponsoring Organization: Maryland Native Plant Society and Montgomery Parks

Get your daily dose of "Vitamin N" (that's nature!) as we hike to look for migrating birds, blooming wildflowers, peeping frogs and other signs of the season.  Explore new themes - and new parts of the park - each week.

This is a Beginner/Family-oriented hike for ages 3 and up.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 30.

Register online at Active Montgomery.

First you must create an account (which can be used for future events). Once you have created an account, in the Search window, enter 'Family Green Hour".  Then click 'Add to cart' for this activity.

Notes: These easy walks traverse natural surface trails which may not be stroller accessible. Bathroom facilities are available at Locust Grove Nature Center.

Bring: Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.  Bring any field guides you like, binoculars if you want, water and a snack as desired.

Cancellation Policy: In the event of heavy-steady snow, sleet or pouring rain, or icy, dangerous conditions of roads, the field trip will be canceled.

If you find you cannot attend: To cancel your registration on the Active Montgomery site, select "My Account" near the top right of the screen, then under "Account Activity" select "My Transactions".  In the row with the trip, select "Withdraw" in the Actions column, then Add to Cart, etc.
