For the 150th field trip in the Wild Washington series, we will explore the woodlands of Theodore Roosevelt Island in the Potomac River. Easy to moderate walk.

Wear good walking shoes. Bring water and lunch. If you wish, bring plant ID books, hand lens and camera.
Free and open to members and non-members.
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED
Cancellation Policy: Trip will go in light drizzle; canceled if heavy rain or if conditions are dangerous. If in doubt call before 9 AM to check on the status.

Directions: Because there is virtually no parking, plan on arriving by metro - Roosevelt Island parking lot gets filled by 9 am - We will meet at the Rosslyn Metro station (on the Blue, Orange and Silver line) and walk to the Island from there. We will meet at the top of the Metro escalator outside of the station at 10:00 AM.
