Description: Located in Harford County, Rocks State Park was created to protect a unique natural feature. In 1949, the State purchased the land to preserve the King and Queen Seat, a spectacular 190-foot high rock outcrop overlooking Deer Creek. We will explore in the vicinity of this outcrop, with emphasis on spring flowers. Then if time permits, we can make an optional side trip (by car) to Kilgore Falls 5 miles to the north. The trail is rocky in places but not especially challenging.
