Topic — The Heaths of Mountain Maryland - PROGRAM HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO WINTER STORM FORECAST
Speaker — Liz McDowell, Coordinator, Western Mountains Chapter of Maryland Native Plant Society
Azaleas, blueberries, and rhododendrons are some of the best known members of the heath or Ericaceae family. We’ll take a closer-look at these species as well as other less familiar heaths which call our region home. We’ll also discuss their value to people and wildlife.
This presentation is open to the public, but pre-registration is required to attend the program and/or to stay for lunch afterwards. The program is free but the luncheon costs $15. Contact Susan Offutt directly at 240-381-3168 or susan.offutt@gmail.com to register for the program and/or lunch by March 15th.
