Sponsoring Organization: Maryland Native Plant Society
Join us for a two mile there-and-back hike along the southern end of the Cabin John Trail in search of the very first springtime flowers: Dutchman's breeches, bloodroot, trout lily, early saxifrage, and maybe more.
Leaders: Elizabeth Miller and Anne DeNovo
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 15.
Registration limited to members only.
Notes: This will be a hike, not a meander. We won't be stopping to look at every single green thing; rather, we'll walk at a moderate pace in search of blooming flowers. Parts of the trail are steep and rocky and may be wet and muddy.
Bring: Good footwear and layers of clothing, guidebooks, camera, water and snacks. A walking stick or hiking poles if you use them.
Cancellation Policy: We will cancel if it is raining more than a light drizzle. Contact leader if in doubt about the weather. Phone number will be provided to registered participants.
Contact: (for additional information; not to register) Elizabeth Miller, berry@IdRatherNotSay.com.
Directions: Will be included in registration confirmation.
