MNPS Field Trip: Saturday Rambles - Lois Y. Green Conservation Park (Saturday)

Migrating birds, Virginia Bluebells, squirming tadpoles, and budding trees -- springtime in Maryland is a time of rejuvenation and welcome returns. On our leisurely hikes through some of the county's most pristine parklands we'll take time to appreciate the wonders of the season while expanding our understanding of their ecology and interactions. Expect to cover 2-3 miles on natural surface trails.

NOTE: This is not strictly a plant trip and may touch on natural history, cultural history, plants, animals, geology, and whatever information participants can share!

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 15.

First you must create an account (which can be used for future Saturday Rambles and other events). Once you have created an account, in the Search window, enter “Saturday Rambles”. Then, click “Add to Cart” next to the description for this activity.
For ages 18 and up.

Notes: Natural surface trails; no bathroom facilities.

Bring: Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. Bring any field guides you like, binoculars if you want, water and a snack as desired. 

Cancellation Policy:  In the event of heavy-steady snow, sleet, or pouring rain, or icy, dangerous conditions of roads, the field trip will be cancelled.

If you register but find you cannot attend, please cancel your registration on the Active Montgomery site. To cancel,  select “My Account” near the top right of the screen, then under “Account Activity” select “My Transactions”. In the row with the trip, select "Withdraw" in the Actions column, then Add to Cart, etc.
