Join us for an easy stream cleanup to help pick up litter along the Southwest & Western Branch of the Patuxent River. Southwest Branch Park, just south of Watkins Regional Park, is home to old age trees and one of Prince George’s County’s largest and healthiest Virginia Bluebell populations. Volunteers will carefully help clean up litter among vast stands of native wildflowers such as Virginia Bluebells, Trout Lily, Coville's Phacelia, Virginia Waterleaf, Violets, Dutchman's Breeches, and trees such as Hackberry, Pawpaw, Overcup Oak, Swamp Chestnut Oak, Sycamore, and Spicebush.

Gloves, trashbags, and trash pickers will be provided to use for our stream cleanup of the scenic stream valley.
