Come explore Greenbelt Park (US National Park Service), the only wooded national park in Prince George’s County. This area has both upland and riparian woodlands. Our focus will be on trees and shrubs, but we will be on the lookout for anything else of interest in the natural world. Beginners welcome! We’ll cover a loop of about three miles at a leisurely pace on natural surface trails.
Leaders: Marney Bruce and Robinne Gray
Notes: Easy to moderate walk of about 3 miles.
Bring: Sunscreen, bug spray, closed-toe shoes, field guides, water, snacks.
Cancellation Policy: Trip will be canceled in the event of heavy rain or storms, but will go in drizzle or light rain.
