Join us for a walk through the Piedmont woodlands above and along Big Pipe Creek. We will concentrate on identifying and enjoying the trees on this forested trail but also look for herbaceous plants and mid-summer flowers.
Leader: Steve Allgeier, arborist and former horticulturist and Master Gardener Coordinator, U of MD Extension, Carroll County
Bring: Your favorite field guides, sun and/or rain protection, insect repellent, water, snacks, binoculars or camera if desired.
Cancellation Policy: Trip will go in light drizzle but will be canceled in the event of storms or heavy rain. Contact the leader if in doubt about the weather (phone number will be included with registration confirmation).
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED: Limited to 15.
Wear: Hat and sturdy shoes.
Notes: Very steep trail with difficult and uneven footing. May be muddy. Walk about 1-1.5 miles.
