Charles Smith, an experienced public land manager, will discuss how to apply the principles of restoration ecology when preserving and restoring land areas. Speaker: Charles Smith Charles is currently Branch Chief of the Fairfax County Stormwater Planning Division, with a focus on stream and natural area restoration. He is a naturalist and ecologist with 24 years of experience in natural resource management, including over 16 years with the Fairfax County Park Authority, and five years with Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority. Charles is a US Army veteran, a board member of the Virginia Native Plant Society and Prince William Wildflower Society. He speaks to many groups about ecology and natural resource management.
