POSTPONED until Saturday, November 10, 2018

Description:  This park, managed by the City of Hyattsville, contains two small but diverse wooded areas with fairly large trees, and two quite large trees - a county champion swamp chestnut oak, and a large (but unfortunately ailing) white ash. It's a great example of second-growth floodplain forest common in this area. We will focus on identifying trees (dressed in their fine fall colors) , but can also spend time on understory plants and shrubs, depending on the knowledge and interests of attendees. This walk is part of MNPS's effort to provide more opportunities for exploration in Prince George's County.

Leaders:  Gabe Popkin and Marney Bruce

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 10 people. Registration limited to MNPS members only through 10/6/18.
