161st walk in the Wild Washington series

On the very last Sunday of the year we will visit the Fort Circle Connector between Fort Dupont and Fort Stanton to investigate the geology and plants in dormancy of the Terrace Gravel Forest and see progress from storm water project on parkland, if any, since our last visit in 2016.

Notes: Easy to moderate walk.
Bring: Water and lunch. Dress warmly.
Cancellation Policy: Trip will be cancelled if raining or snowing. Call Claudine before 9 am on Sunday if you have concerns about whether the trip is cancelled.

Directions: Get on Pennsylvania Avenue SE, travel south east from Minnesota Avenue (east of the Anacostia River). When you reach Branch Avenue (a lighted intersection) turn right on Branch and take the first right on Park Drive. We will meet where 32nd Place meets Park Drive.
