MNPS Field Trip: Summer Solstice Walk and Fern ID Survey at Mattawoman Bottomlands

Cosponsored by MNPS, VNPS, BSW and Friends of Mattawoman Watershed.

This walk in the diverse Mattawoman plant community will concentrate on ferns, including several species of Dryopteris; Adder’s Tongue; Lady; Silvery Glade; New York; Cinnamon and Royal; Marsh; Broad Beech; Sensitive; Netted Chain; Glade; Rattlesnake; Grape; various clubmosses; etc., as well as whatever else we find in this rich habitat.

Bring lunch and water. Dress appropriately for wet areas, insects and poison ivy.
