April at Lake Waterford Park, Anne Arundel County (Saturday)

Description:  We will explore the Pine-oak-heath forest. We will find Pinxter Flower, Mountain Laurel, Sheep Laurel and Deerberry among other interesting species.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 15 people. MNPS members only through February 28, 2019.

Notes: Some areas of the park feature primitive trails that include large exposed tree roots as well as 1-2 foot drops. Navigation at these sites can be problematic for people with mobility challenges.

Bring:   A hand lens, a camera, and field guides for both wildflowers and shrubs.

Cancellation Policy:  Trip will proceed under light rain, but will be cancelled with moderate to heavy rain.
