Sponsoring Organization: Maryland Native Plant Society 

Description:  Join us for this lady slipper walk at Merkle Wildlife Santuary in Upper Marlboro. We will explore riverside environment along the Patuxent River near Jug Bay, an acid soil oak pine heath forest where we expect to see dozens of pink lady slipper orchids as well as many other species endemic to that area. Flat trails, easy walk, about two miles.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 15 people. MNPS members only through March 1, 2019.

Notes:  Flat trails, easy walk, about two miles.

Bring:    Hand lens, camera, binoculars, snacks, water, lunch.

Cancellation Policy:  Trip will be cancelled in case of hard rain.
