MNPS Field Trip: Tree ID For Beginners-Sligo Creek Park (Saturday)

Interested in knowing the names of the trees you encounter in your neighborhood? This field trip is for you!

We'll walk a stretch of stream valley forest, looking at common trees and shrubs along the way. This is a paved multi-use trail.

By the end, it is hoped that participants will have learned to identify 10-12 of the most common trees in the area. The leader will bring several field guides for participants to share.

MNPS membership not required.

Bring: Water, field guides of your choice, binoculars (for birds as well as looking at leaves in the canopy). Dress for the weather.

Cancellation Policy: We will proceed in light drizzle, but snow or icy conditions will cancel the walk. You will be notified by 8 AM on the day of the walk if it is canceled.
