  • Why trees play are critical in the health of our drinking water;
  • Which seeds to collect and how to identify them;

Plus, you'll get a behind the scenes look at what happens to the seeds after they're collected from a Maryland DNR forester.

Webinar Presenters:

Deanna Tricarico is the Director of Community and Corporate Outreach at Potomac Conservancy, and has coordinated the Growing Native project since 2009.

Tim Culbreth is a Chesapeake Watershed Forester with the Maryland DNR Forest Service, and works with Growing Native drop-off site coordinators in Maryland.

About the Growing Native Project: Potomac Conservancy's Growing Native project engages thousands of volunteers each year in native seed collection events in the Potomac River region. The seeds are donated to state nurseries where they are planted and used in subsequent years to restore streamside forests throughout the region.
