VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Are you aware of the Maglev (superconducting magnetic levitation) train project? It's not the Purple Line, Beltway expansion, or the Hyperloop! The Maglev train is proposed to be constructed along the Northeast Corridor (I-295) starting in Washington, DC, and ending in Baltimore, with one stop at Baltimore-Washington International Airport. It will affect residential property, parkland, federal property, a waterfront park, and forest preserves.

Maryland Native Plant Society will be preparing comments against the proposed Maglev . We are looking for volunteers who will help craft responses and mobilize various actions needed to defeat this wasteful and devastating project.

Please join our discussion to learn about the project and to volunteer to help with crafting our response.  Note: This is not a presentation or webinar on the Maglev but a volunteer coordinating meeting.

Please register if you can help, even if you cannot attend the 1/5 meeting so we can keep you informed. Additional meetings will be scheduled.

Limit: 20 people

Coordinator: Karyn Molines info@mdflora.org

Other actions you can take: Visit www.StopThisTrain.org or Join the Facebook Group: Citizens Against SCMaglev to learn more and get involved. https://www.facebook.com/groups/CitizensAgainstSCMaglev
