An irresistible array of festival foods, children’s rides and games, artisanal & boutique gifts and, of course, herbs & flowers, will once again fill the grounds of Washington National Cathedral. Since 1939, this festival of flowers and fun will celebrate All Hallows Guild’s centennial of service to the 59 acres of gardens and grounds around Washington National Cathedral celebrating our theme: “Haven of Peace.”

WHERE: Washington National Cathedral, Wisconsin and Massachusetts Avenues, N.W. 3101 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20016

website at http://www.allhallowsguild.org/flower-mart The grounds surrounding Washington National Cathedral were originally designed by Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. as a “haven of peace and refreshment”—an oasis within the city.  In 1919, Mr. Olmsted spoke eloquently about the “great charm of approaching the Cathedral through and up a wooded hillside, leaving the city far behind and below. Helping one to forget the hurly-burly and busy-ness of a work-a-day world must be taken advantage of to the fullest extent."

All Hallows Guild is the volunteer-led organization that raises funds for the care and maintenance of the Cathedral grounds, and Flower Mart is its primary fundraiser.
