Speaker: Tama Wong
Tama will break down common assumptions about what is ugly, what is useless, and what is unwanted by gleaning and making use of unwanted "weeds."
The presentation will show the important connection between environment, health and food, historically and internationally. She will also discuss the plants likely to be seen in your backyard and gardens of the MidAtlantic along with specific tips on sustainable harvest and cooking.
Afterwards, we can accommodate a small group (15 people) join her on a walk in the field for a hands-on workshop.
We anticipate that Tama will have books on hand for sale and signing. We plan to have MNPS books available for sale, shipping costs do not apply for in-person sales. Try to bring exact change or checks.
