Located along the Gunpowder River, the Towson University field station features a mixed hardwood forest and lush riverside vegetation. Led by Roland Roberts, this trip is aimed at introducing participants to the fern and angiosperm flora of the field station. The unique habitats provide plant enthusiasts with a wonderful opportunity for plant watching in a very relaxed environment. Field trip registration is available when you register for the Conference. MNPS Annual Fall Conference: Preserving and Restoring Biodiversity in Developed Landscapes. This trip is also open to non-conference participants, who should register separately.
Meet in the parking lot of M&T Bank, 212 Mt Carmel Road, Parkton, MD 21120. We will leave there promptly at 9:30 for the Field Station.
From I-83 North, take Exit 27. Turn right (east) onto Mt Carmel Road. The bank will be on your immediate left.
