The Invader Detectives program provides a platform for citizen scientists to assist in discovering, documenting, and tracking non-native invasive species that have yet to become well-established in a particular area. These observations assist land managers with identifying emerging threats to habitats, and facilitates early detection and rapid response to these threats.

Damien Ossi is a Wildlife Biologist with the D.C. Government. He was instrumental in creating the National Capital PRISM (Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management). He is also on the Board of the Mid-Atlantic Invasive Plant Council, where he previously served as President. Megan Carr is an Urban Forester with the Baltimore City Rec & Parks Urban Forestry Division. She specializes in invasive vegetation management in urban areas. She is also a member of the Maryland Invasive Species Council.

Zoom opens at 7:00PM for pre-program board update and member Q&A. Presentations begin at 7:30PM and generally run until 8:45PM.

The program is free and open to the public.

This will be recorded and available on our Webinars page.
