Violette's Lock is lovely in the early fall with views of the Potomac and the cliffs of Blockhouse Point. Good variety of trees, some showing fall color (we'll practice ID). Pawpaws, persimmons and plenty of other fruits to aid in identification.
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 10 people.
Registration limited to MNPS members only through September 10, 2023.
Notes: Easy walking along the C & O Canal towpath.
Bring: Field guides, water, snacks and lunch, binoculars, sun or rain protection.
Cancellation Policy: We will go in light drizzle or light rain, but the trip will be cancelled in the event of heavy rain or storms.
