Pawpaws, which some consider one of our finest native fruits, grow rampant along the C&O canal. We may be lucky enough to find some ripe ones as we amble down the towpath, identifying trees and late wildflowers.
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 15 people. MNPS members only through September 10
Notes: Easy walk along the towpath.
Bring: Field guides, water, snack, binoculars, sun or rain protection..
Cancellation Policy: We will go in drizzle or light rain, but the trip will be cancelled in the event of heavy rain or storms.
