Leader: Carole Bergmann
Location: Hoyle's Mill Conservation Park
Description: Join us for a hike through one of the most diverse forests in Montgomery County. Hoyles Mill Conservation Park is underlain by a large sill of diabase bedrock, and because of the unique nutrient rich soils derived from the diabase bedrock, the plant community contains many less common species.
Notes: We will walk on a previous gravel roadbed which is now a natural surface trail. Expected distance is 2 miles out and back. No bathrooms at the trailhead.
For additional information (not to register): Carole Bergmann ( 301-651-0646)
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Limited to 10 people, due to limited parking.
Directions will be included in registration confirmation.
Bring: water, snack, sunscreen, proper shoes
Cancellation Policy: Walk will proceed in drizzle, but will be canceled for heavy rain or thunderstorms
