Come join us for a fun-filled day at the UP Native Pollinator Meadow on Adelphi Rd, University Park, MD near Toledo. Park on Beechwood and enjoy a day surrounded by beautiful native plants and pollinators. This in person event will be a great opportunity to learn about the importance of native pollinators and how you can help protect them. Don't miss out on this chance to connect with nature and support our local ecosystem. 

Native plant giveaway grown from seed by UP residents using Ernst Conservation Seed.

We love dogs too but please leave them at home. See you there.

Location: UP Native Pollinator Meadow on Adelphi Rd, University Park, MD near Toledo, across the street from the Hyattsville Recreation Center. Park on Beechwood off Adelphi Road.

MarySue Twohy is a town committee member of the University Park (UP) Sustainability Committee since 2019. She, along with a vibrant band of volunteers, manage the health of UP Native Pollinator Wildflower Meadow controlling invasives, seeding in spring and fall, hosting UP Meadow Day and managing an annual 1/3 cut of the meadow in the early spring all under the direction of the Anacostia Watershed Society (AWS) and in collaboration with the University of Maryland Department of Entomology. She also collaborates on UP Stream Cleanup with AWS and is exploring native woodland habitat restoration areas on public land.
