Workshop: The Woods in Your Backyard

Are you interested learning how to manage the natural areas on your property? Or, would you like to reduce mowing by converting some of your lawn into a wildflower meadow, tall grassland nesting area, or woodland? If so, you are invited to participate in the upcoming “The Woods in Your Backyard” workshop.

This popular workshop will be taught by University of Maryland Forestry Extension specialist Jonathan Kays and sponsored by the Carroll County Forestry Board.

Registration: The registration fee for the entire course is $40 per individual or $60 per couple (sharing one workbook) and includes morning refreshments and lunch. Workshop participants will also receive a full‐color 130‐page manual, “The Woods in Your Backyard” as a program reference (a $24 value), as well as other informational materials. Registration is due by January 4th. Make checks payable to CARROLL COUNTY EAC.
