Description: In 2025, MBP began a mini-bioblitz or "quad-busting" fieldtrip series to survey United States Geological Survey quadrangle maps (quads) across Maryland that have less than 500 living species documented.  MBP editor Sue Muller has been leading a series of “quad-busting” fieldtrips in the Alexandria quad (Forte Foote Park, Prince George's County) and also in Leesburg and Waterford quads (Montgomery County).  She wants to extend the opportunity to MNPS members to join the effort.  Sue's goal is to document as many species as she can using iNaturalistMNPS members can greatly contribute by surveying for plants!  Sue plans something for everyone.  Habitats include mature forest, marsh, meadow, edge and streams.  There will certainly be a focus on ephemerals and migratory birds.
