Title: Introduction to the Rose Family in Maryland

Speaker: Christopher Puttock

Description: To begin our celebration of the Year of the Rose, Chris Puttock will introduce us to the Rosaceae, a ubiquitous plant family that includes strawberry, serviceberry, chokeberry, black cherry, and many more of our most beautiful, interesting native plants - including herbaceous plants, shrubs and trees.

Location: Kensington Library.

Directions: From the Washington Beltway (I-495)

Take Exit 33, Connecticut Avenue, north to the third signal after the Beltway. Turn left onto Knowles and go 2 1/2 blocks to the library on the right.
