Melanie Choukas-Bradley and Tina Thieme Brown collaborated to describe selected native Maryland plants through words (Melanie) and illustration (Tina), first in Native News and then in Marilandica.  From 2013 until 2020, Kirsten Johnson wrote the Wildflower in Focus articles, and photographs by local photographers appeared on the covers.
